The Art Committee invites you to a guided tour of the exhibition Ann Lislegaard – ANIMOID at the Henie Onstad Art Centre.
Ann Lislegaard is a pioneer in feminist futurism and in the use of digital technology in art. She creates immersive works that explore space, gender, time travel, and interspecies communication. This will be her first major presentation in Norway in nearly two decades. We will encounter sounds from extinct bird species, drawings made directly on the museum walls by the artist under hypnosis, and animations of hybrid figures acting as messengers and visionary agents. The works range from sculpture and neon to monumental video installations that challenge our understanding of the world. What does it mean to be human in a historical moment marked by digital transformation and profound ecological crisis? This exhibition will be a very exciting experience for us!
DATE/TIME: Thursday, March 19, at 13:00. Please note the later start! There are school groups visiting between 11-13.00. We suggest meeting at the café for coffee/lunch at 11:30 and then taking the tour afterwards. The tour lasts 45 minutes.
