The Special Events Committee invites you to join us on a guided tour of Peer Gynt Sculpture Park. This park, as the name suggests, centres around Henrik Ibsen’s famous play, the story of Peer Gynt. The park contains 20 sculptures, each one portraying a figure or scene which feature in the tale of Peer Gynt.
This park was established in 2006 by Selvaag, the company behind the housing development in the Løren area. Some of the sculptures were commissioned, but most of the sculptures are the result of an international sculpture competition. The family-owned Selvaag company, founded by Olav Selvaag, has placed sculptures in residential areas for more than 50 years, with over 500 sculptures in total.
Our guide will take us through the park, showing us these amazing sculptures which follow the adventures of Peer Gynt from his youth till old age.
This is an outdoor event, so please dress according to the weather.

TRANSPORT: By T-bane: Line 4 westbound to Vestli from the westbound platform. Line 4 leaves Jernbanetorget at 10:45 or from Nationaltheatret at 10:48 and arrives at Løren station 11:04. A committee member will be there to guide you to the venue; it’s a 5-minute walk. Please note: Line 4 is the only line that goes to Løren.
By Car: There is parking available in the basement under Løren Torg shopping centre, near the sculpture park.
LUNCH: There are cafés and restaurants in the area.
Maximum number of participants is 20. Guests are allowed if space available.
