Greetings! Hope you have all had a great summer break and are re-energised for yet another season of Forum activities.
Our new Board met for the first time as a Board at the end of August. We had a thorough handover meeting in June with outgoing President Anita Pratap in order to prepare us for autumn. As we currently find ourselves in an unprecedented situation – without a President – the main agenda for the August Board meeting was to discuss the division of labour among the Board members to ensure smooth operation. Though the responsibilities of the Board are implicit in the IF statutes, we do not have explicit terms of reference for the roles of the individual Board members; hence, we discussed and divided the tasks among five domains: membership, operations and finance, office administration, communication and liaison, and documentation. As it is important for us to share this information with all members and, in particular, with committee leaders, we briefly outline below the various roles and the Board member responsible for these tasks.
